November 2018: Talk by David Marsh on Gardens in Art.

2018 AGM and Celebrating Humphry Repton Day at Saling Grove: Chaired by Lord Petre with talks by Georgina Green, Caroline Ratcliff and Thadian Pillai.

2017 AGM at Barnards Farm:  Chaired by Lord Petre with a talk by garden designer Xa Tollemache, a light lunch and time to spend in the gardens. 

Helmingham Hall, Suffolk: A day at the house and garden with a guided tour by Xa Tollemache, the designer-maker - and owner.

Coach trip to Painshill Park: Guided tour around the 18th century landscape gardens and talk on the John Bartram Heritage Collection of plants, imported from the USA by the Hon Charles Hamilton.  

RHS Garden Hyde Hall, Essex: Evening trip for a guided tour of the gardens with Curator Robert Brett.

Coach trip to Peter Beales Roses and East Ruston Old Vicarage, Norfolk: Morning visit with lunch at Peter Beales Roses, followed in the afternoon by East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden

Workshop at Writtle University College with Charlotte Power:  Identifying trees in the landscape

Kings Seeds, Kelvedon:  Talk and guided tour by Peter Miller at Kings Seeds, Monks Farm, Kelvedon, Essex            

Dragons, Boyton Cross: An exclusive visit to a plants woman's ¾-acre garden which is surrounded by farmland and planted to encourage wildlife.

Warley Place near Brentwood: Guided tour of this once very famous Edwardian garden belonging to Ellen Willmott.

Audley End House and Gardens, Saffron Walden:   As well as entrance to the house & gardens, included is an exclusive 1.5 hour tour of the grounds with Head Gardener Alan North explaining the challenges of managing Lancelot 'Capability' Brown's historic landscape in the 21st century. 

Thenford Arboretum, Banbury: Visit to the private gardens of Lord & Lady Heseltine. 

Lancaster House, Maldon: Private opening for EGT of this recently created private garden surrounding the renovated Grade II listed 19th century house (not open). 

RHS Hyde Hall Gardens:  Afternoon access to gardens followed by behind the scenes tour with Curator Robert Brett explaining the major development plans for the site inc. the Global Growth Vegetable garden (designer Xa Tollemache).  

Hatfield Forest, Essex: Guided walk around the forest  to look at this magnificent woodland, its flora and fauna, and find out about how it is managed in the 21st century.  

Introduction to Garden History Workshop with Dr Twigs Way  - Sell out day looking at how to research the history of our landscapes with the afternoon spent at Easton Lodge.
