Essex Gardens Trust has contributed funds towards schools visiting Hyde Hall for the day to learn about germination, the details of plants and biodiversity.  We pay for transportation to the garden and its wonderful that we can enable whole classes to enjoy the day.

Children learn about the role plants play in their lives, about the principles of germination and get the opportunity to plant their own seeds. Some can't wait to get back to their planted seeds after lunch to see if they have started to grow yet.

Members can go along to help and be part of the day.  It’s wonderful to see the children really enjoying themselves and getting involved in plants and gardens.   Everybody who has managed to come along has been inspired by the way the children respond to the environment and are very keen that this initiative continues.   I’m sure everybody will remember their day out.
